Water, source of all life: Of all the freshwater in the world, 30% is in South America. There will never be a shortage of tap water here. As for us, we have our own wells and take pure “Evian” from a depth of 100m.
The rivers provide 85% of Brazil’s electric power through hydropower stations, environmentally friendly and cheap.

Tasty: Fresh camarãoor fried gambas with garlic. The biggest organic shrimp farm in Bahia is next door. Our village deserves its name of “Cachoeira de Camarão”.

Sports: Lovers of water sports and fishing will find themselves in paradise. Alongside the estate the Real River is 70 to 100m wide. A few kilometers downstream, close to the village of Indiaroba, the river is 200m wide and at the estuary is measures 1500m.
The water is nice and warm and sailors can enjoy a soft ocean breeze.

Future: Half of the Brazilian population is younger than 25. An ageing population is not part of the problems here.

Fauna: The smallest monkeys in the world and the most brightly-coloured parrots fly through the trees here. The singing of hundreds of birds wakes you up in the morning, at night the chirping of the crickets will put you to sleep.

Our village: Cachoeira de Itanhi, small but unique. The 128-year-old church is made of clay. With its location next to the Rio Real and the Linha Verde, the village has a gigantic potential.
Together with the local council, we will develop it into an attractive holiday resort. The overpowering waterfall, a free attraction, and the local ferry to Mangue Seco are a first-class starting point.

Green: The nature surrounding us is overwhelming. There are hundreds of tree and plant species. Mangos, coconuts and bananas from our own garden provide us with our daily portion of fruit and vitamins.

Company: Sitting around a campfire. Relishing the day’s memories under 1001 stars. The wonderful caipirinhas, the national drink with caçacha rum, lime, cane sugar and ice, are never far away.

Horses: “Cavalo Real” is the name of the riding school and horse breeding farm that we have set up. Trotting in the wild or galloping along the beach are fantastic experiences. It is our ambition to breed Belgian BWP sport horses here, next to the local quadrupeds.

Healthy: We can find all the fruit we do not grow on the fazenda ourselves on the local weekly markets. Just like the vegetables, they are 100% organically grown, very tasty and cheap. Talking about the good life…
