Fazenda Rio Real is a wide and green fazenda in Brazil. The actual meaning of the name is “Farm of the Royal river”. Within the estate’s boundaries the river, or better the stream, goes from a breadth of 70 to 120 m. After a bend of 16 km, this freshwater stream runs into the saltwater ocean. The place where these two waters merge measures 1,5 km. Along the extension lie the most famous and most impressive dunes of Bahia, named “Mangue Seco”. You can soar over the snow-white sands with a buggy or visit the picturesque village. It is pleasant stay in this protected area of natural beauty. You also have the possibility to enjoy a vigorous, energetic beach walk and afterwards enjoy a delicious camarão com oleo (baked shrimps in garlic butter) with a caipirinha or a simple steak with a fresh pint. The sun takes provides a beautiful tan, the whole year long. |

Brazil is a multifaceted South- American country that is as large as Europe. It has a young , dynamic population. Everybody is welcome, racism is unknown, there is an overwhelming nature steeped in sunshine, fertile ground, blissful tranquility or swinging music… just name it, the country represented by the blue-yellow-green flag has it. |
The four seasons are present but less pronounced than in Europe. Brazil lies under the equator, so the seasons come at different times in the year. Summer in Bahia is wintertime in Belgium, which is perfect for those who don’t like the autumn. The day temperature goes from 25°C up to 30°C, the night temperatures from 20°C to 25°C. It also rains, but it is limited in time and you can easily stay in your swimming outfit. So put your thick coat in the deepest corner of your wardrobe. Thanks to these pleasant temperatures and the subtropical climate, the nature provides us with a wide spectrum of birds who float over the extensive plains and brood in the branches of our cashew, palm, mango, and banana trees. A playful fauna goes hand in hand with a restful flora. |
